The women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Dordt College on Saturday morning. The match was originally scheduled for the Fremont H.S. Tennis Courts but were moved indoors in Lincoln. The games were played one set to eight instead of best 2-of-3 to six.
Doane played with only five players, forfeiting No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. In doubles action, both Tiger squads were defeated 8-0. In singles action, Kendra Bender played the closest match as she fell to Melanie DeYoung, 8-4. Morgan Dietrich was defeated 8-2 while Jessica Whalen fell 8-1. Angela Frerking and Jenna Koster dropped 8-0 decisions as they played higher in singles action due to missing players.
