Doane pitcher Dexter Spitsnogle is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference and NAIA Region III Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Spitsnogle, a freshman from Odell, went 2-0 on the week with wins over the Air Force Academy and Midland Lutheran College. In the win against Air Force, he pitched four innings with no earned runs and two strike outs. On Sunday he came back with a complete game win against Midland Lutheran in which he struck out five and allowed three earned runs. His ERA on the week was 2.45 as the Tigers went 3-3. Doane is now 14-19 on the season under first year head coach Jeremy Jorgenson.
