Josh Siske picked up a tie-break victory over 2007 GPAC All-Conference selection Wil Holz at No. 1 singles action to highlight the evening in Crete as Doane and Hastings faced off in conference play. Siske won 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) over Holz, winning the last four points in the tie-break. However, as a team, Hastings came away with a 6-3 win over the Tigers.
Doane also received singles wins from Nolan DeWispelare and Jake Zlatkovsky. DeWispelare won in a tie-break at No. 5 singles in near-darkness as the match was finished at dusk. He won 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 1-0 (10-3). Zlatkovsky won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
DeWispelare and Zlatkovsky dropped a close match at No. 3 doubles, falling 8-6.
