Doane College Head Baseball Coach Jeremy Jorgensen announced the addition of Britton Scheele to his 2008 recruit class. Scheele, a native of Plymouth, Neb., is a member of the Luther Prep High School team in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Scheele earned Capitol Conference honors last year, being named to the First Team as a pitcher. Scheele is also a third baseman. He hit .423 while leading the team with 18 RBIs and went 4-1 on the mound with a 1.29 earned run average. Luther Prep was the North Division champions in 2007.
Britton is the son of Brian & Sandra Scheele of Plymouth.
Doane College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). Doane is a four-year liberal arts college located in Crete, Nebraska, and offers 39 areas of study along with seven pre-professional programs.
