Tigers Fall in Yankton, Looking to Playoffs

Doane was limited to 28 percent shooting in the second half and fell at Mount Marty College 74-60 on Saturday afternoon.  The Tiger's loss drops them to the seventh seed in this year's GPAC tournament while Mt. Marty clinched the fifth seed.

The Tigers were paced by Lindsay Anderson's 17 points and six rebounds.  Alissa Holland came off the bench to add seven points.  Vanessa Munter matched Anderson's team-high six rebounds.  Nicole Anderson led the team with three assists.

Tevan Wenbourne led Mount Marty with 14 points, six assists and four steals.  The Lancers committed 15 turnovers while Doane had 22.  The Tigers out-rebounded MMC 43-41 but allowed 20 offensive boards to the Lancers.

Up Next
Doane will host the University of Sioux Falls in the First Round of the GPAC Tournament.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM and the game can be heard on the Tiger Sports Network.
