Doane picked up an important victory over Hastings College on Wednesday evening as they make a push for a home court game in the first round of the GPAC Tournament. The Tigers won a thriller, 63-61, thanks to a lay-up from Tyler Cyboron as time expired. Cyboron came off the bench and scored 10 points, hitting a pair of three-point baskets.
Offensively the Tigers were paced by Dane Cruz. He posted 21 points and four assists. Scott Neuhalfen came off the bench for Doane and added 13 points, hitting three three-point baskets. He also led the team with four rebounds. For the game, Doane players did not collect an offensive rebound. However, with two potential offensive rebounds going out-of-bounds off the Broncos, Doane converted both opportunities into four points on second chance efforts.
Also keying the Tigers was their execution off of Hastings turnovers. Doane posted 21 points off of 12 Bronco turnovers while Hastings was limited to nine points on 13 Tiger turnovers.

Doane will travel to Yankton, S.D. on February 23 to take on the Lancers of Mt. Marty College. Tip-off is set for 4:00 PM and the game can be heard on the Tiger Sports Network.
