Tigers Tripped Up in Blair

Article Body
The Tigers could never find a consistent rhythm offensively and fell in GPAC action to Dana College, 58-53, on Wednesday evening.  Doane was limited to a season-low 15 points in the first half but were in the game despite shooting 25 percent from the floor.  The Doane defense was solid all night long as they held the Vikings to 22 points in the first half and 39 percent shooting for the game.

Doane was also plagued by 22 turnovers, several coming in key stretches.  To open the game, Doane gave away the ball on their first three possessions.  In the final four minutes of the first half they turned it over three times while going 0-8 from the floor.

Doane battled back in the second half, using a 10-0 run to take a three-point lead.  Dana battled back and eventually opened up a five point lead that Doane could not recover from.  The Vikings were 10-of-10 in free throw attempts during the final minute of play.

The Tigers were led offensively by Brett McFarland's 13 points.  He also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.  Dane Cruz added 11 points, four assists and three steals.
