(GPAC Release) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's indoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for January 14 - January 20, 2008. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2007-2008 GPAC players-of-the-week and players and coaches-of-the-year awards program.
Doane's Nick Thixton is the men's field athlete-of-the-week. Thixton, a senior from Lexington, Nebraska, posted a jump of 46-03.50 in the triple jump at the Doane Field Plus Meet in Crete, Nebraska. His jump is the top mark in the NAIA this winter and automatically qualifies him for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championship.
