Doane/St. Xavier statistics

St. Xavier used strong shooting and solid defense to top Doane College in the championship game of their own tournament, 82-73.  The Cougars took a 13 point lead into halftime and Doane was able to pull within nine points several times but never able to get over the hump to close the game.

St. Xavier gained their first half lead behind the hot shooting of Sarah Wilson.  Wilson was 4-of-7 from behind the three-point arc.  Wilson scored all 12 of her points in the first half.  Jackie Heine, the tournament MVP, scored 18 points in the game while grabbing nine rebounds.
