Doane/Concordia Statistics

Turnovers proved costly on Wednesday evening in the Dawg House as Doane fell at Concordia, 72-62.  The Bulldogs took advantage of 22 Tiger turnovers and out-scored Doane 26-8 in points off of turnovers.  Concordia only committed six turnovers.

Doane took a one-point lead into halftime but a 10-2 run by Concordia to start the second half proved to be too much for the Tigers to overcome.  The Tigers were able to pull within two points with four minutes left to play but a three-point basket by Scott Hannon gave Concordia the room they needed on the scoreboard to finish out the game with a little breathing room.

For the game, Doane was led with 15 points from Dane Cruz.  Brett McFarland added 12 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.  He also had a game-high four assists.  Tyler Cyboron and Ben Streck added 10 points each.  Doane shot 50 percent from the floor while going 5-of-10 from behind the three-point arc.

Austin Thoms scored a game-high 20 points for the Bulldogs.  Hannon added 18 points and Dustin Weber came off the bench to score 12.

Concordia improved to 6-4 overall and 1-1 in the GPAC.  Doane fell to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
