Doane battled hard but a mis-played ball by the Tigers led to Dana's only goal in a 1-0 game. The Vikings goal came from Kara Fox at the 57:43 mark in the game. She was able to pick up a loose ball and split two Tiger defenders to beat keeper Alicia Exstrom for the goal.
Doane was out-shot 10-4 on the day. Exstrom collected three saves while Dana keeper Ashley Armstrong had two. The Tigers end the season at 8-8-3 after qualifying for their first ever regional tournament appearance.
Starting in the Fall of 2008, the regional tournament will be eliminated and the conference tournament will return. The winner of the conference tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
