Designed to be a first class art space for a liberal arts college, seven instructional areas offers specialized places for drawing, design, ceramics, painting, print making, graphic design, and art history. Easily accessible lab and studio spaces in the art department provides opportunities for students to paint and create around the clock. Ample student commons space allows for a relaxing study atmosphere between classes and projects. The department layout was designed with student needs in mind and offers exceptional space to create on their own timetable, work closely with Doane faculty, and learn in group settings with other students and visiting master artists.
