John leads the offices of Advancement, Alumni Relations and Marketing Communications He is also responsible for major campaigns and gifts. John is a third generation Doane graduate and parent of a Doane graduate.

Nancy Wehrbein, Director of Foundation and Agency Relations Nancy started at Doane in 2005. Nancy develops and submits all grant proposals for Doane College in conjunction with the faculty and administration. She also serves as initial point-of-contact for the administration of grants awarded.

Dan Meyer, Director of Planned Giving Dan assists alumni and friends of Doane with annuity and estate planning. He is also the parent of two Doane graduates.

Rick Blessen, Director of The Doane Fund Rick started at Doane in 2004. Rick works with Doane friends and alumni to ensure that Doane's annual fund needs are met.

Cody Vance '82, director of Special Projects
Cody served in the Office of Admission at Doane for 19 years before becoming a member of the Advancement Office in 2001. He arranges the Honor D Award and Athletic Hall of Fame ceremonies, in addition to working with alumni and friends to ensure support of the college’s annual fund. Cody is also the public address ‘voice’ of Doane’s football and women’s basketball teams.

Karen Wisman Morris '78, director of Advancement Operations
Karen has worked at Doane since 1985, serving as alumni director from 1994-2008. Her responsibilities include overseeing gift processing, reporting, database updates, coordinating the advancement office software conversion, and stewardship.

Eunice McArdle ‘70, Advancement Services Eunice began working at Doane in 1986. Her duties include providing data support and reporting for all projects. She is a 1970 graduate of Doane College, and the parent of five Doane graduates.

Carol Bietz, Director of Advancement Data Services
Carol started at Doane in September 1993. Her duties include report compilation and computer conversion support. She is the mother of 3 future Doane students!!

Joey Fikar, Support Staff Joey has worked at Doane since 1987. Joey works closely with the vice president for advancement in the daily functions of the Advancement Office, maintains schedules and manages work-study projects.
