The Financial Aid Process

A financial aid advisor is available to assist you through the process. 

Step 1 - Admission

• A.  All students applying for financial aid must first be admitted to Doane College.  To be admitted, follow these Steps to Apply and/or contact and an Academic Adviser to assist you through the process.
  
  
• B.  Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
• Completing the form online can reduce processing time by two weeks.
    
• C.  After completing the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR).

Step 2 - Complete the Doane Financial Aid Application

Step 3 -  Return any additional information the Financial Aid Office requests to complete your file.  Make sure that all forms are filled out completely and signatures are in place.

Step 4 - Award Notification

After your file is complete, you will receive a Financial Aid Award Notification Packet.  This shows financial aid that is available for you.  You must complete the packet, including Web and paper forms to receive your financial aid.
