Admission

Individuals interested in the Educational Leadership program must complete the following admission requirements:

1. A packet that contains:
• A completed application for admission and the $25 application fee.
• A copy of your current teaching certificate.
• A vita or resume.
• Documentation of computer literacy. (List classes taken and/or experiences that demonstrate computer knowledge and application.)
• A writing sample (about 250-500 words) indicating reasons for your interest in Doane's Educational Leadership program and your philosophy about teaching and learning.
2. Official transcripts from the institutions granting the undergraduate degree and anygraduate work that is to be considered for transfer credit. Those transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to Doane College, Graduate Studies in Education,303 North 52nd Street, Lincoln, NE 68504.
3. Letters of recommendation from three professional associates. Using the enclosed forms, these letters must be sent directly to Doane College.
4. An interview with a faculty member after the above materials are received. Please complete this process as soon as possible; we will begin reviewing applications early in 2000.
5. Successful completion of EDL 675 and EDL 680 for full admission.
6. Submit an acceptable PPST or CMEE score prior to full admission
