Admission

Step 1: Candidates for the Master of Arts in Management program must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. When evidence regarding questionable character or personality appear in an applicant's materials, the college reserves the right to evaluate such factors as criteria of admission.

Step 2: Applicants for the Master of Arts in Management program should submit:

1. Completed application form and a $25.00 non-refundable application fee. You may print a hard copy of the application form, or apply on-line.
2. Written essay describing career and educational goals, including how graduate study will help in attaining these goals.
3. An official transcript from each graduate and undergraduate institution attended.
4. Three recommendations.
5. Signed FERPA statement

The decision to admit applicants is based on an evaluation of the candidate's potential for success in the program. While professional experience is not a requirement, most applicants have some full-time work experience. All admission decisions are communicated in writing to students.

Enrollment Procedures

Enrollment in courses is conducted in two stages:

1. Pre-registration : Begins four weeks prior to the beginning of the class and reserves the student a seat in the desired class.
2. Formal registration : Completed the week prior to the beginning of the class. The student completes the registration process by confirming his/her class(es) and paying tuition and fees associated with the class(es). Students who do not complete the formal registration process are administratively removed from the roster.

Transfer Credits

Doane College will accept in transfer, coursework completed at accredited four-year institutions nationwide. At the graduate level, students must have earned a "B-" or better in order for the class credits to transfer into the MAM program. A student may transfer up to nine credits into the program.
