How do I pre-register?

Students who are new to Doane for the Spring Term, CAN NOT select this option.
- E-MAIL - You may e-mail your pre-registration to DoaneGI@doane.edu. Please include in your e-mail your complete name, ID or SS number, and your daytime phone number. When listing the course(s) please include the course number, title, day, and time to guarantee pre-registration for the correct section.
- PHONE - You may phone in your pre-registration by calling (308) 398-0800.
- ON CAMPUS - You may stop by the Doane-Grand Island offices at 3180 West U.S. Hwy 34.
What is formal registration, and when does it happen?
The difference between pre-registration and formal registration is the commitment of money. You are not required to pay for your class or sign a promise to pay note until formal registration. You must come to the Doane-Grand Island campus to formally register for all courses, on one of these days. Dates and times for formal registration are:
Thursday, March 11th 10:00am – 7:00pm
Friday, March 12th 10:00am – 6:00pm
Saturday, March 13th 9:00am – Noon
CENSUS DAY - THE LAST DAY TO DROP OR ADD courses
for the Spring term is March 22nd.
Except for certain emergency situations, if you drop your enrollment in any course, including seminars, on-line courses, and courses on an alternative schedule after census day, you will forfeit tuition. This policy applies to any class regardless of the start day of the class. After formal registration it is not possible to drop a class on-line. You must contact your advisor to drop a class after formal registration.
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
- All classes, including on-line classes and seminars, have a first meeting during the first week of the term. These are required meetings and are listed on the schedule.
