Program Offerings The demands of international commerce, as well as the increasing number of individuals in the U.S. who speak English as a learned language, define the need for professionals who can speak multiple languages. At Doane, students are immersed in their language major to attain a high level of proficiency and a well-rounded education in other cultures.
French Major
Course work offered on campus and in France. Courses include French civilization, literature, advanced composition and conversation, language enrichment, and directed studies.
Study Abroad

- French majors generally choose Doane's affiliated study program in Paris at Sorbonne University.
