Program Offerings The Division of Economics and Business is committed to providing you with opportunities and an environment where you can develop analytical and creative thought processes to make effective and ethical business-related decisions. Majors are offered in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Principles (for secondary education students), and Economics.

Program Emphases
A Business Administration major prepares you for a wide variety of careers in the business arena, and provides an excellent foundation for graduate and professional school. The study of business is designed from a liberal arts perspective emphasizing both theory and application. Through case studies, simulations, internships, classroom study, discussions and research, you are actively involved in your educational experience. Five areas of emphasis in Business Administration allow you to tailor your program to specific interests.
- Finance: for careers in banking, real estate, investments, insurance, and other financial areas
- Management: for management positions in small and large organizations
- Human Resource Management: for human resource and managerial positions
- Marketing: for careers in marketing, sales, advertising, and promotion
- International Business: combines finance, management, and marketing
Students/Class Size
Approximately 160-180 students major in one of the four areas in the Division of Economics and Business.
- In introductory courses, class size is approximately 25-30 students
- In upper-level courses, class size averages approximately 15 students, depending on the area of study
Requirements for a Business Administration Minor
Complete 24 credits of Accounting, Business, and Economics courses.
