First Year

• Develop four year course plan
• Discuss taking general chemistry with advisor
• Consider shadowing/internship/volunteer work/jobs
• Take CED 205
• Choose extracurricular activities wisely
• Begin portfolio
• Complete math requirement
• Maintain science and cumulative GPA of at least 3.5

Sophomore Year

• Declare major (with Registrar)
• Consider changing advisor to someone on the Pre-Med Advisory Committee
• Share internship/shadowing experience or plans with advisor
• Construct review notes for MCAT relevant courses
• Review extracurricular activities, leadership roles
• Over summer
• Review MCAT relevant course material and take review exams from an MCAT prep book
• Continue portfolio development
• Begin personal statement
• Maintain science and cumulative GPA of at least 3.5

Junior Year

• Practice MCAT
• Turn in personal statement to advisor by fall break
• Discuss internship/shadowing experience with advisor
• Develop review plan to begin in fall, may include Kaplan course
• Discuss interterm and spring semester schedule with advisor to allow for MCAT review
• Take blackboard MCAT debriefing survey
• Begin AMCAS application process
• Continue portfolio development
• Maintain science and cumulative GPA of at least 3.5

Senior Year

• Secondary applications
• Mock interviews
• Submit MCAT scores to committee
• Attend wrap-up session
• Maintain science and cumulative GPA of at least 3.5
