Research OpportunitiesEach year, sociology students conduct a campus-wide sociological survey, with the subject varying from year to year based on the interests of the students. Students also research, prepare and write papers on topics of their choice for submission to sociology symposiums. Students have presented on such topics as marriage & family, adoption, and deviance.
Internships/Opportunities
Doane students may participate in month-long or semester-long internships, gaining hands-on work experience for college credit. Sociology majors have had internships at such organizations as:
