The Capital Alumni Chapter Scholarship
Established in December 2008, The Capital Alumni Chapter Scholarship is the culmination of nearly 20 years of fundraising efforts. This award was established by alumni and friends from the greater Lincoln, Neb. area to assist students who wish to attend Doane College in pursuit of an outstanding education.
The Capital Alumni Chapter will award at least one incoming first-year student a $250 scholarship per semester for a maximum of eight semesters (or $2,000) as long as funds are available.
Applicants for the Capital Alumni Chapter Scholarship must:
- Live in Lincoln, Neb. or the surrounding area as mutually defined by The Chapter and the Doane College Alumni Office.
- Be an incoming first-year student admitted to or enrolled on the Crete campus full-time in the undergraduate program at Doane College.
- Have a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Complete and submit an application (see below)
- Send all required information by April 15, 2010.
Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a committee which includes The Chapter, Office of Admission and Office of Financial Aid. The scholarship recipient and three alternates will be notified on May 15, 2010.
