Outside Scholarships
Don't overlook the possibility of receiving scholarships from civic and private organizations, and foundations based on your parents' employers, ethnic group or church affiliation, your academic interests or an outstanding academic record. Check with your high school guidance office or visit one of the following websites to search the internet for funding sources.

While outside scholarships must be included in a student's financial aid package, Doane wants you to benefit as much as possible from any scholarship you receive from a private source. Generally, outside scholarships add to the scholarship/grant portion of your financial aid package and reduce your family contribution-the amount you and your family have to pay. Only if it's necessary to meet federal regulations will we reduce the work and loan portion of your financial aid award.
