George and Sally Haddix Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of Omaha North High School alumnus and Doane College Trustee, George Haddix, significant scholarship dollars have been allotted for two select graduates of Omaha North High School to attend Doane College. This scholarship, amounting to at least the cost of tuition for up to eight semesters, is one of the largest scholarships awarded to any Doane student. The Haddix Scholarship is awarded to Omaha North High School graduates enrolling at Doane College as first-year students that have exemplified the qualities necessary to be successful at the college level.
To be considered for the Haddix Scholarship, high school graduating students must:
- Apply for admission (www.doane.edu/applynow)
- Complete and submit the Haddix Scholarship application and personal statement
- Participate in a campus visit to Doane College
- Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to Doane College (www.fafsa.gov)
- Complete a phone interview with a Doane College representative
The application for this scholarship will be available during the fall semester. Please check back then.
Recipients of this award will be notified by the Office of Admission in the spring semester. The application for admission is necessary for scholarship consideration at Doane College. Other sources of financial aid may be available to Haddix Scholarship recipients by completing the FAFSA application at www.fafsa.gov.
