Direct Costs
These traditionally include tuition, fees, room and board. Direct costs for the 2009-2010 academic year include:

Fees: $500.00
- Your fees help cover student activities, the travel abroad scholarship fund, technology usage, and access to the Office of Health & Wellness.
Room & Board: $5,970.00
- This is for basic room and board; other options may be available depending on your housing assignment and meal plan selection.
Total Direct Costs: $27,010.00
Indirect Costs
When reviewing the cost of any college, you should always consider any annual indirect costs incurred, such as:
Books: $800.00
- Costs are dependent upon what is required for each course.
Transportation: $700.00
- Includes the cost of gas and/or additional travel expenses (airfare, trains, hotels, etc.).
Personal costs: $1,100.00
- Dependent upon individual needs and lifestyle.
Parking fees: Doane does not require additional fees for parking on campus.
Total Indirect Costs: $2,600.00
