Scholarships

Doane Grants are awarded to students based on financial need.

Endowed and donated scholarships/grants are awarded at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office.

A complete listing of endowed scholarships may be found in the Doane College Catalog. Doane College awards all scholarships and grants with the expectation of satisfactory performance.

The college is not required to replace scholarships or grants lost on the basis of unsatisfactory performance.

The Travel Scholarship is available to students wishing to take advantage of Doane's study abroad programs.

Types of Scholarships

Academic Scholarships - These scholarships are not based on need. Students meeting the qualifications will receive the scholarship regardless of their family resources. In instances where a student's need is met with federal, state, or other funds, any scholarships or grants awarded may be adjusted to meet the federal/institutional guidelines.

Extracurricular Scholarships - Doane College offers extracurricular scholarships to talented full-time students. In instances where a student's need is met with federal, state, or other funds, any scholarships or grants awarded may be adjusted to meet the federal/institutional guidelines.

Outside Scholarships - Several types of outside scholarships are available to Doane College students. Please click the outside scholarship link or stop by the Financial Aid Office for additional information. Other Assistance

ROTC: One- to four-year scholarships are available. Students are obliged to serve active duty in the Navy, Air Force, Army, Army Reserve, or Nebraska National Guard after graduation. The amount includes tuition/fees, allowance for books, and a monthly stipend. Contact your military recruiter for applications.

Vocational Rehabilitation: This is available to students who have a significant employment disability. Aplications are available from regional Vocational Rehabilitation offices. The amount is dependent upon need and funding.

General Sources: Students should apply for any scholarships available through private sources, professional sources, professional organizations, clubs, etc. Check with your high school guidance counselor, public library, and professional and service organizations in your community for other possible scholarships.
