Why do we guarantee our students will graduate in four years? Doane's curriculum has been designed for that very purpose. Not only do we believe that graduation can and should be achieved within four years, we guarantee it!
How does Doane guarantee this?
- We offer all required courses necessary to complete a major, the Doane Plan, and the college's graduation requirements within four years.
- We provide a qualified faculty adviser to assist you in scheduling classes.
- Provide academic support services to assist you in successfully completing your degree.
What do you need to do?
- Enroll in eight consecutive regular semesters as a full-time student at Doane College in Crete.
- Maintain a cumulative grade point average to remain in good standing according to the college catalog of record.
- Fulfill the requirements necessary for the four-year degree contract.
If all requirements are met and you are unable to complete your major in four years, Doane will assume costs (during the next two consecutive semesters) of the courses needed to complete your undergraduate degree. It is also possible to graduate in less than four years, have more than one major, or include minors. This guarantee covers one major in four years.
Additional Requirements:
- You will declare your graduating major before the fourth semester (must declare a major in accounting, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, art with a professional or graphics design emphasis or education upon entering Doane).
- You must average 15 credits per semester (a typical class load).
- You should successfully complete four, three-credit Interterms.
- You will meet at least once per semester with your academic adviser.
