Professional Studies in Accounting

Program Overview
Doane's Professional Studies in Accounting degree provides a solid foundation in accounting and financial practices.  It is designed to fulfill state educational requirements to take the CPA exam, including 132 undergraduate credits and 18 graduate credits.  You can apply graduate credits earned in the program to a Master of Arts in Management degree from Doane College. This assures you will lose no time or money when continuing your educational pursuits.

Industry Facts
Most accounting related jobs require at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.  Overall job opportunities should be favorable, although jobseekers who obtain professional recognition through certification or licensure, proficiency in accounting and auditing computer software, or specialized expertise will have an advantage.  An increase in the number of businesses, changing financial laws and regulations, and increase scrutiny of company finances will drive growth of accountants and auditors.
