The Social Science major at Doane College is a multi-disciplinary major designed to prepare students for careers in education (ranging from the elementary through to secondary level). The major emphasizes a wide range of academic and pedagogical techniques with instruction encompassing both theory and practice. Introductory class enrollment is generally less than 40 students with upper-division class sizes generally ranging between 5 and 25 students.
