To become an elementary school teacher and shape the future, you need the support of a valuable elementary education program. In Nebraska's K-12 school systems, great teachers with a quality education undergraduate degree are always a hot commodity.

The elementary education major at Doane is primarily responsible for the preparation of teachers and administrators in K-12 schools. The unit has sole responsibility for the administration, governance, planning, and assessment of all preparation programs for certification of teachers and principals. The faculty organize, unify, coordinate, and govern all professional education programs. The unit faculty members are also responsible for policy development, evaluation, and coordination with other programs on the undergraduate level. The unit is headed by the department chairperson.
