Interested in directing your students to an outstanding liberal arts and sciences education at a friendly, prestigious, private college? Few institutions offer more value than Doane College.
Conveniently located on a beautiful campus in Crete--within easy driving distance of Lincoln--Doane College was the first liberal arts and sciences college to be established in Nebraska. More than 130 years later, we continue to provide an innovative, deeply personalized college experience designed to encourage students to challenge themselves to fully realize their potential, to excel, and to prepare to serve and lead their communities with distinction.
Why should I refer my students to Doane College?
- Offering an extensive array of world-class academic programs, Doane is ranked among the best colleges in the Midwest by U.S.News & World Report, The Princeton Review, and Kaplan/Newsweek College Catalog, among others.
- We were among the country's first institutions to offer a four-year graduation guarantee so our students do not have to pay more than four years' worth of tuition costs.
- We have one of the nation's highest graduation placement rates: every year, more than 98 percent of our graduates begin studying at prestigious professional and graduate programs or launch successful careers within six months.
- Doane was one of the first institutions in the nation to integrate internships as a fundamental part of the liberal arts and sciences curriculum.
- In addition to building rewarding relationships with nationally respected faculty through personalized interactions in small classes, collaborative research projects, and other initiatives, more than half of all Doane students travel in the U.S. or abroad--many on faculty-led trips--before they graduate. In fact, Doane offers its juniors and seniors a unique travel scholarship of up to $1000 toward a college-sponsored trip within the U.S. or abroad.
- Doane provides your student all the transforming social and personal experiences, cocurricular opportunities, and lasting relationships that only a private residential college can offer. More than 90 percent of our students live on campus.
- Best of all, a Doane education is surprisingly affordable. Annually, the college awards more than $7.9 million through scholarships and grants.
What high school preparation do you recommend for admission to Doane?
Your students must be graduates of a recognized secondary school program or have completed the GED in order to apply to Doane College. While not a requirement for acceptance, we would prefer that your students have completed four years of English and science, three years of social studies and mathematics, and the SAT or ACT exam.
Can my students visit Doane College to see it for themselves?
Absolutely. Your students can schedule a campus visit either online or by contacting one of our admission counselors. In addition, Doane College hosts numerous events for high school students throughout the year.
