The Office of Technology has three divisions: Information Systems, Network Resources, and Telecommunications & Infrastructure.
Information Systems
Information Systems maintains and supports Doane College's academic and administrative software, reporting, and web systems including:
- Datatel, Doane College's administrative system, which encompasses student information, human resources, finances, financial aid, housing, alumni and advancement, academic affairs, and student leadership
- WebAdvisor, which provides users online access to Datatel
- Blackboard, Doane's online course management system
- Various other applications such as Estrada (Doane's CMS application), iTunes U, and QAS
Services provided by Information Systems:
Datatel access control, report planning, development, customization and distribution, quality control, system administration and upgrade, and custom programming

Network Resources
Network Resources is responsible for maintaining Doane's network system including all of the necessary hardware and software. This includes all switches, servers, and network security. All user accounts are created and maintained by Network Resources.
Services provided by Network Resources:
Email account setup, password reset, security, monitoring of system load, websites, systems backup and recovery, server hardware configuration, firewall implementation and administration

Telecommunications & Infrastructure
Telecommunications and Infrastructure is responsible for all hardware and infrastructure including phone systems, personal computers, scanners, printers, and other office technology. Telecommunications and Infrastructure's Helpdesk is the first level of support for all of Doane College's laptops, desktops, and printers. It supports and maintains all computer labs and tracks all assets.
Services provided by Telecommunications & Infrastructure:
PC hardware configuration, troubleshooting, consultation, reconfiguration, software installation, data recovery, antivirus installation, field support for PCs, printers, scanners, purchase tracking and installation of specialized software
