
Kim Jacobs
Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Leadership
Kim began working at Doane in August 2004. Since then she has provided leadership and direction to all areas of admission. She is a graduate of Kansas State where she obtained her master's degree in counseling and college student personnel administration.

Cezar Mesquita
Director of Admission
Cezar oversees the admission staff and all operations of the office. He brings a strong background in recruiting and admission data management to the role, having been employed by the University of Denver for six years, most recently as Director for Diversity Enrollment.
A native of Brazil, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Affairs from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), and completed his master's degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Alabama.

Jeremy Jorgensen
Transfer Student Coordinator/Admission Counselor
Head Baseball Coach
Jeremy came to Doane from McCook Community College where he was the head baseball coach and a career specialist. He graduated from the College of St. Scholastica (Minnesota) in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in dietetics with a minor in psychology. He holds a master's degree from California State University - Fullerton in kinesiology.
Jorgensen received his first head baseball coach position in 1997 at Benilde-St. Margaret's High School in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. In 1999, he became an assistant at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he was the recruiting coordinator and pitching coach. In August 2001, Jorgensen became pitching coach at California State University and in October 2003, he took over the McCook Community College baseball program. During his time at McCook Community College, they set school records in regular season wins and conference wins. Prior to 2003, the team had never won more than 11 games in a season, this year they finished with 24.
Jeremy's territory consists of Omaha Public Schools, as well as some of the private high schools in the Omaha metropolitan area. He also works with our transfer students. If you are interested in transferring to Doane or have questions about the transfer process, feel free to contact him.

Suzy Cochnar
Coordinator of Admission Visit Programs
Suzy Kersenbrock Cochnar is a native of Crete, Nebraska, and graduated from Doane College in 1988. She has a master's degree in education from UNL, and taught art and journalism for Lincoln Public Schools for 19 years. Suzy is the mother of a current Doane student, and has family ties to Doane that reach back five generations. She and her entire family are involved in the martial arts.

Michelle Faltin
Coordinator of Admission Communication
Michelle is originally from San Diego, California, and knows first-hand what it is like to be far from home for college. She graduated from Doane in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing emphasis. While at Doane, Michelle played intercollegiate softball, was a Doane Ambassador, and a member of Phi Beta Lambda honorary. She was also a member of the Martin Investment Club, one of over 60 student organizations on campus. Michelle currently works with our computer management systems, but still works closely with students.

Tim Moulton
Assistant Director of Admission
Tim graduated from Doane in 2000 and is currently in his eighth year as part of the admission staff. His territory spans throughout Southeastern Nebraska (including the city of Lincoln), and Crete High School.
A college education is becoming more important each year and thus, so is the adventure of choosing a college. Although there are many aspects of choosing a college, the most important aspect is whether or not the college you are looking at feels comfortable to you. Matt D. Huber
Admission Counselor
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Matt joined the Doane College admission staff in July 2006. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Missouri - St. Louis, he spent two years teaching string orchestra in the public schools. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
Matt has a strong background in music performance and education, theatre, and forensics (speech). His territory includes suburban Omaha and the Northern-Midwest and Northeastern states. Matt works closely with our Fine and Performing Arts departments - especially in the scheduling of scholarship auditions. Please let him know if you have any questions.

Andrea Piening
Admission Counselor
After graduating from Doane College in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and fitness, Andrea worked in Crete as operations manager for the Parks and Recreation Department. While at Doane she was a member of the women's basketball team. Her territory includes south central Nebraska and the Southeastern states. Sarah Begay
Western Region Admission Counselor
Sarah is based in Denver, Colorado, and is the admission counselor for Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, and all other states to the West. She is originally from Leigh, Nebraska, but has lived in Denver since 1998. Sarah graduated from Doane in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. While at Doane, she participated as a Doane Ambassador, interned for the Admission Office, served on the Inter-Sorority Council, and was a four-year member of the volleyball team.

Nancy Nelsen
Executive Secretary for Admission
This mother of three Doane graduates welcomes prospective students and their families as they tour our Crete campus. You can also catch her performing numerous clerical duties in the Office of Admission. In the past, she taught business classes at Crete High School.

Carolyn Wieland
Data Processing Assistant
Carolyn performs secretarial duties for the recruitment of students, such as preparation of applications, mailings, request of transcripts and references, and assisting admission reps in their travel correspondence. She is the proud parent of two Doane alumni. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, collecting and restoring antique furniture.

Sheri Doremus
Data Entry Clerk
Sheri is primarily responsible data entry for the entire inquiry pool of prospective Doane students and for current applicants. She is married to a Doane alum and is the proud parent of four daughters ages 13, 11 and 6 (including a set of identical twins). Much of the family time revolves around the busy schedules of our daughters (softball, volleyball, dancing etc). Hobbies include camping/water sports and baking special treats.
