Doane College Safety Administrator

Doane College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Safety Administrator. Doane safety administrators (SA) are responsible for supporting the college's mission by assisting in the development of a safe and healthy campus environment. SA's will provide a visible presence and offer support to all community members in areas related to safety and security. Assigned to a daytime, evening or night shift, SA's will provide comprehensive resources to the college including calls-for-service, emergency response, report writing, parking enforcement, evening escorts, lockouts, programming, event staffing and 24/7 on-call for emergencies. This is a full-time, 10 month position. The positions are "live-in" positions. Benefits include a 1 bed-room apartment and meal plan.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree strongly preferred. Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Assistant Softball Coach

Doane College, a NAIA school located in Crete, NE is accepting applications for the position of assistant softball coach. The school seeks a highly motivated, softball knowledgeable, diplomatic, and passionate individual for this position.
This position will assist the head coach and other assistants in the recruiting of prospective student-athletes; coaching student-athletes; assists in scheduling of contests, camps, and may assist the head coach in coordinating team travel arrangements. The assistant coach will also participate in individual athletic development, assist with fundraising activities for the softball program; assists with student academic progress; partners with other institutional athletic programs and provides leadership for all aspects of the softball program.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or the equivalent accreditation in an appropriate area of specialization and at least three years of high school level coaching or higher. Playing and / or coaching at the collegiate level is highly preferred. Previous pitching experience a plus.
Successful experience as a graduate assistant or intern in an athletic program is acceptable for up to one year of the required experience.

The Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Inclusiveness

Doane College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Inclusiveness. This position is responsible for advancing a strategic and integrated approach to diversity, inclusiveness, and equity in all aspects of Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. The Special Assistant works closely with the College's senior leadership team in serving a variety of offices and functions at Doane to improve diversity within the context of faculty, staff, and student culture and achievement. The Special Assistant works with the Faculty; Offices of Admission, Financial Aid, Student Leadership (including Multicultural Support Services); and Human Resources to find, retain, and advance individuals who will enrich the College's educational program. The Special Assistant reports to the President and works closely with both the president and the vice presidents in a highly collegial, team-oriented environment.
This position will be at 60% time (approximately 3 days per week) over the academic year (a ten-month period).
Qualifications: Advanced degree is required, preferably in a discipline or area that touches on diversity-related issues. Demonstrated commitment to the importance of a diverse, open, and inclusive academic environment. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills with a collaborative style of leadership. 5+ years experience in a higher education environment, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Senior Director of Development Doane College is seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Senior Director of Development. This person will work in partnership with the Vice President for Advancement to lead and supervise the planning, organization, implementation and evaluation of the College's development strategy for major gifts, annual solicitations, research on prospective donors and advancement operations. This position will motivate staff and volunteers, as well as cultivate and solicit alumni, parents, friends and corporations in support of Doane College. The Director will have supervisory responsibility for approximately six staff members. Travel is required.
Duties include, but are not limited to,
- Supervise the development operations, including major gifts, gift cultivation society, annual fund, research, advancement systems, and stewardship.
- o Provide and manage the implementation of strategies for increasing financial support to Doane College from individual donors.
- o Launch and manage the gift cultivation society as the focal point for all Doane fundraising activities.
- Serve as a major gifts officer cultivating, soliciting, and managing key donor relationships.
- Advise and help manage visits by the President, Vice President, and/or key volunteers.
- Establish appropriate measurements for evaluating the College's fundraising results.
- Assume other appropriate duties as assigned by the President and/or Vice President for Advancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of successful experience in major gift raising, annual funds and campaigns; ideally in a private liberal arts and sciences college setting.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, planning, communication and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of advancement services and data reporting.
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to work creatively to ensure desired results.
