Doane University presented eight alumni awards to nine individuals at the annual awards banquet held in conjunction with the college’s Homecoming events Sunday, October 16. Recipients of this year’s awards included: India Williams (Kansas City, Missouri), Patricia Mahar (Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida), Fred Ritter (Columbus), Ruth Olsen (Lincoln), John and Leslie Allbery (Denver, Colorado), Craig Coppersmith (Elkhorn), John Lothrop (Crete) and Dr. Brenda Neumon Lewis (Norfolk, Virginia).

Doane University will host a screening of “Eating You Alive”, a feature-length documentary revealing the truth behind why Americans are so sick and what we can do about it. It will be held on Sunday, October 30 at 2:30 p.m. in Doane’s Heckman Auditorium in Crete.

Amanda Moore McBride, PhD will be speaking at Doane University on Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30 p.m. The title of her talk is "Higher Education: Civics, Community and Controversy."

Doane University Theatre will open an entertaining new season with four dynamic productions this academic year. The season kicks off October 13-15 with the national amateur theatre premiere of “The Heart of Robin Hood” by David Farr.

The seventeenth annual Doane triMATHlon High School Math Contest was held Thursday, September 29, 2016.
