Read about the latest craze - trash bags to hand bags.  The Doane chapter of Roots and Shoots created handbags from store plastic bags in an effort to solve a problem plagueing several countries and cities and turning it into a safe and useful alternative for the environment.

Doane Corps - Our newest addition of innovative programs offered.  Two 2007 Doane College graduates left October 2007 for six months of volunteer service in Kenya -- the first participants in Doane Corps, a new program of post-graduate international volunteer service.

Physics Video Library Recognized by the MERLOT Project
Doane's Physics Video Library is a collection of short digital video clips that can be used to learn physics concepts taught in high school and college courses.  Each video clip is available on the project site in QuickTime and Flash formats.  Users can obtain data from the video clips using a web-based software application developed by a Doane physics major graduate as his senior research project. The library was a collaborative effort between faculty as well as past and current students within the physics department.

Commencement 2007 - Photo Albums
Doane graduated 656 students on Sunday, May 20.  View the various photo albums of the days' events and read the baccalaureate speech delivered by Andrea Holmes. 

1974 Tennis Dedication Ceremony
1974 was a great year for the Doane College Tennis Team.  They achieved their goal by winning the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) District 11 championship and the NIAC (Nebraska Intercollegiate Athletics Conference) title.  The NIAC title was taken without the loss of a single match, a first in the history of the conference. Free at Last
Eight students and their professor traveled to Alabama in January 2007 for an Interterm class to research and experience the power of the civil rights movement. Read their stories, view the documentary or find out more about the students.
